Esbon is a tiny farming town of 82 people in north-central Kansas, sitting along US Highway 36 about 15 miles south of Nebraska. The main routes are Highway 36 east-west and Highway 14 north-south, connecting to Belleville and Smith Center. Its historic grain elevator towers over the surrounding wheat fields, visible for miles across the flat prairie.
