Ericson is a small farming town of 157 people in Nebraska's Sandhills region, accessible via Highway 70 and Highway 11 from Burwell. The area is cattle ranching country with rolling grasslands along the Middle Loup River. The distinctive steel truss bridge on Highway 70 provides one of the few river crossings for miles around.
