Epps is a small farming town in northeastern Louisiana, about 45 miles north of Monroe via US-165 and LA-17. The area is classic Louisiana Delta country with cotton and soybean fields stretching in all directions. Most traffic comes from longer trips out of Monroe or Shreveport, though locals regularly make the 20-mile run south to Oak Grove. The town's historic general store has operated continuously since 1923 and doubles as the local post office.
