Enfield is a small railroad town along US Route 301 in eastern North Carolina, about 30 minutes north of Rocky Mount. The main route connects directly to I-95 for longer trips, while locals use it for daily commutes to surrounding communities. The town retains several historic buildings from its days as a stop on the Atlantic Coast Line railroad that once carried passengers between New York and Florida.
