Emory is a small East Texas town about 70 miles east of Dallas, known primarily for world-class bass fishing on Lake Fork. Most visitors take I-30 to Exit 104, then Highway 19 north for 15 miles. The town hosts major bass fishing tournaments that draw professional anglers competing for trophy largemouth bass regularly exceeding 10 pounds.
