Elyria is a county seat in north-central Ohio, about 25 miles southwest of Cleveland along the Black River. Access comes via I-80/90 to the north, with US-57 and state routes 2, 113, and 301 providing regional connections. The city serves Cleveland-area commuters and hosts the massive Lorain County Fair each August, drawing over 300,000 visitors to its permanent fairgrounds.
