Elwood is a small farming town of about 1,500 people in northern Utah's Box Elder County, sitting 15 miles northwest of Brigham City via Highway 13. The town occupies flat agricultural land in the Bear River valley, with the Wasatch Mountains rising to the east. Most visitors arrive from I-15 via Brigham City, while locals use Highway 13 to connect with neighboring communities. The town's most notable landmark is its preserved 1904 one-room schoolhouse on Main Street.
