Elmore is a small Ohio city of about 1,600 people, located 25 miles southeast of Toledo in Ottawa County's farm country. Take State Route 2 east from Toledo to Route 51 south for the most direct drive through gently rolling agricultural land. The town sits in what was once the Great Black Swamp, a massive wetland drained in the 1800s that now supports some of Ohio's richest farmland.
