Elmo is a tiny farming town in northwest Missouri, about 15 miles from Maryville via Highway 148. Reach it from Kansas City by taking I-35 north to Cameron, then US 36 west to local routes. The restored 1920s grain elevator still operates during harvest and towers over the surrounding cornfields.
