Elmer is a tiny farming town of 59 people in southwestern Oklahoma's Jackson County. Drive west from Altus on US-62 for about 15 miles, then turn north on county roads. The restored 1920s grain elevator still operates during harvest and serves as a prairie landmark visible for miles.
