Ellsworth is a tiny farming town in Minnesota's southwest corner, 12 miles from South Dakota. Highway 266 runs through town, connecting to Highway 75 for access to Sioux Falls (45 minutes west) or Luverne (15 miles east). The prairie community of 430 people sits among endless corn and soybean fields. Every August since 1978, the town hosts a popular Threshing Bee featuring vintage steam engines and antique farm equipment demonstrations.
