Ellsworth is a small Kansas city on Interstate 70, about halfway between Salina and Hays in the heart of farm country. The interstate makes it an easy stop for cross-country travelers, while Highway 14 connects north to Lincoln and south toward the Arkansas River valley. The red sandstone courthouse with its prominent clock tower has been the town's most recognizable landmark since 1896.
