Ellsinore is a small Ozark town of 678 people in southeastern Missouri, surrounded by forested hills and accessed mainly via Highway 160. Most visitors arrive from Cape Girardeau (90 miles northeast) or use local routes to Van Buren and Doniphan. The town still operates one of Missouri's last manual traffic lights that requires a human operator.
