Elk Point is a small county seat town of 2,500 people in southeastern South Dakota, sitting 15 miles north of Sioux City along the Missouri River. Take Highway 11 north from Sioux City or exit I-29 at Highway 11 if coming from Sioux Falls. The 1908 Union County Courthouse with its red brick clock tower anchors the town square.
