Elizabeth is a small river town about 20 miles southeast of Pittsburgh along the Monongahela River. Route 51 south from the city provides the most direct access, while I-70 connects from the east. The town of 1,400 sits in scenic hill country typical of western Pennsylvania's river valleys. Its historic Round Bottom Covered Bridge is one of the few remaining covered bridges in Allegheny County.
