Elgin is a small farming town of 735 people in northeast Iowa's Fayette County. Highway 150 runs right through town, connecting to Waterloo about 45 miles southeast and other regional centers via state highways. The historic grain elevator towers over Main Street and serves as a landmark visible across miles of surrounding cornfields.
