Eldorado is a farming town of 449 people in southwestern Oklahoma's Jackson County, about 15 miles northeast of Altus via State Highway 5. From Oklahoma City, take I-44 west to US-62, then follow local roads north through wheat country. The massive grain elevator towers over the prairie and serves as a landmark visible for miles across the flat landscape.
