Eldora is a small Iowa farming town of 2,600 people in Hardin County, sitting along the Iowa River about 45 miles northeast of Des Moines. Take I-35 to Highway 175 east for the main route in, or use Highway 118 for north-south connections to Iowa Falls and Marshalltown. Pine Lake State Park borders the town's east side with its 678-acre lake.
