Eland is a tiny village of 169 people in north-central Wisconsin's Shawano County, surrounded by farmland and forest along the Wolf River valley. Highway 22 runs right through town, connecting south to Shawano (15 miles) and north toward tribal lands. Most visitors arrive via Highway 29 from Wausau, then take Highway 22 north. The village sits directly on the boundary of the Menominee Indian Reservation.
