Egeland is a tiny farming town of 81 people in north-central North Dakota, about 15 miles from Canada. Take US 281 from Bottineau (20 miles north) or drive up from Minot via US 83 and US 281 (60 miles total). The area is classic northern plains with wheat fields and cattle ranches. The town's grain elevator towers over the prairie and can be spotted from miles away.
