Edinburg is a farming community of about 1,200 people in central Illinois, 20 miles southeast of Springfield. Take Interstate 72 to the Edinburg exit, then head north on State Route 16, which runs right through town. Most visitors come from Springfield via I-72, while locals use Route 16 for trips to Taylorville or Pawnee. The original 1870s wooden grain elevator still stands downtown.
