Edgefield is a tiny Red River Parish community of about 200 people in northwestern Louisiana, positioned along Highway 1 near the Texas border. Most visitors drive northwest from Shreveport via US 84, then north on Highway 1 for about an hour through rolling pine hills. The town's small post office has served as a community gathering spot for decades.
