Ecru is a small Mississippi town of 1,550 people located along Highway 15 in Pontotoc County. It's about 8 miles north of Pontotoc and 12 miles south of New Albany, making it a quiet stop between these larger communities. Most visitors arrive via Highway 78 from Memphis (70 miles) or Tupelo (25 miles), connecting through Pontotoc. The town's name comes from the French word for unbleached linen.
