Eaton Rapids is a small city along the Grand River, about 20 miles southwest of Lansing via Highway M-99. From Grand Rapids, take I-94 east to I-69 north, then M-99 south. Detroit visitors use I-94 west to Highway 127, then M-50 west to M-99 south. The most notable feature is the historic stone dam and mill race system downtown, where the Grand River cascades through channels that once powered 19th-century flour mills.
