Easton is a small farming community in northeastern Kansas, about 25 miles northwest of Kansas City. US Highway 73 provides the main access route from the metro area through Bonner Springs, while drivers from Topeka take US-24 east to US-73 south. The town of under 300 people sits in rolling agricultural country typical of the Kansas River valley. Sherman Army Airfield operates just outside town as a general aviation facility.
