I-285 runs along its eastern edge while I-85 passes nearby, making it easily accessible for both local commuters and long-distance travelers. The city serves as home to many airport workers and features several EV charging stations near major corridors. East Point claims the original Chick-fil-A restaurant, opened in 1967 on South Central Avenue.
