East Globe is a tiny desert community of 224 people in southeastern Arizona's high country, about 90 miles from Phoenix via US 60 and US 70. The main access is Highway 70, which connects to Globe and continues east toward New Mexico. At 3,500 feet elevation, it's cooler than the low desert but still maintains Arizona's dry climate. The town sits near dramatic Pinto Creek canyon country, offering some of the state's most rugged backcountry terrain.
