Eagle spreads across the foothills northwest of Boise, where suburban developments meet high desert terrain. Highway 44 runs east-west through town, connecting to Boise 12 miles away and continuing toward Emmett. Interstate 84 provides regional access via the Eagle Road exit, while Eagle Road itself links north-south to Meridian and other Treasure Valley communities. The city's restored 1912 railroad depot anchors the downtown area as both a museum and event venue.
