Eagle is a tiny Yukon River town near the Canadian border that marks the end of the Taylor Highway from Tok. It's the western terminus of the Top of the World Highway circle route connecting Alaska to Dawson City. The 160-mile drive from Tok follows gravel roads through wilderness, and winter access is nearly impossible. Eagle was Alaska's first incorporated interior city in 1901.
