Dupo is a small Mississippi River town in southwestern Illinois, just across from St. Louis via I-255. The city sits in St. Clair County's fertile floodplain, easily reached from I-270 or I-55. Route 3 connects it to other river communities like Cahokia and Waterloo. Most visitors come from the St. Louis metro area, about 25 miles from Lambert Airport. The town features one of Illinois' few remaining Lustron homes, a rare all-steel house from the 1940s.
