Dunn Center is the county seat of rural Dunn County in western North Dakota's wheat country. Highway 200 runs directly through town, connecting to Killdeer 18 miles west and continuing east toward regional centers. From the south, take county roads north from US Highway 85. Dickinson lies about 45 miles southeast via Highway 22. The early 1900s Dunn County Courthouse anchors the small downtown as the administrative heart of this agricultural community of 329 residents.
