Duncan is a farming town of 600 people in east-central Nebraska, about 15 miles northwest of Columbus via Highway 30. The route from Lincoln or Omaha follows Highway 30 west through agricultural country, covering 75-85 miles of rolling plains dotted with corn and soybean fields. The town's towering grain elevator serves as a landmark visible for miles across the flat countryside.
