Dryden is a small farming community about an hour north of Detroit via M-15 and I-75. The village of 1,182 people sits in Lapeer County's lake-dotted countryside, with most traffic flowing north-south on M-15 between Clarkston and Davison. The restored 1880s railroad depot downtown now operates as a local history museum.
