Drummond is a tiny farming community of three people in eastern Idaho's high desert, about 20 miles northeast of Ashton via Highway 47. Most visitors reach it from Idaho Falls (60 miles) or as a detour from the Yellowstone route on US-20. The area grows potatoes and barley in the short growing season, with long snowy winters making winter driving challenging. Remarkably, this community of three still operates its own post office.
