Dresden is a tiny farming town in northwest Kansas where US Highway 36 cuts through endless wheat fields. Most travelers use it as a waypoint between Norton (15 miles east) and the Colorado border, or connect south to Interstate 70 near Colby for longer trips. The massive grain elevator dominates the skyline, visible for miles across the flat prairie.
