Douglass is a small Kansas town about 20 miles southeast of Wichita, reached via Highway 196 from either Interstate 35 or Highway 254. The area features typical Great Plains countryside with wheat fields and rolling prairie. The town still uses its original 1923 red brick schoolhouse as an elementary school.
