Douglas is a small Lake Michigan resort town in southwestern Michigan, popular for its beaches and historic harbor where the Kalamazoo River meets the lake. Most visitors arrive via I-94 to Exit 41, then take scenic Blue Star Highway north about 8 miles through farmland to the coast. The town operates one of Michigan's last hand-operated drawbridges over the Kalamazoo River.
