Dorchester is a small farming town in southeastern Nebraska, about 25 miles southwest of Lincoln via Highway 33. The main route takes drivers from I-80 through Pleasant Dale, then south past corn and soybean fields. Most residents commute to Lincoln for work, while longer trips connect through I-80 or US Highway 6. The town's grain elevator towers over the prairie, visible for miles as a navigation landmark.
