Donovan is a tiny farming town in eastern Illinois where Route 1 cuts straight through corn country. Most traffic comes from Watseka (15 miles south) or Hoopeston (20 miles north), with I-57 about 30 miles west for longer trips. The grain elevator towers over the flat prairie, visible for miles as both landmark and symbol of the area's agricultural roots.
