Doerun is a small farming town in south-central Georgia, about 20 miles from Moultrie via US Highway 319. The main route connects north to I-75 at Tifton for trips to Atlanta or south to Valdosta. State Route 33 provides east-west access through agricultural country known for cotton, peanuts, and pecans. The town hosts an annual Peanut Festival celebrating the local harvest.
