Dodson is a tiny Texas Panhandle farming community of about 20 people located on US Highway 83, roughly 25 miles south of Oklahoma. The town sits amid cotton fields and cattle ranches on flat prairie land. Most visitors arrive via US 287 to Childress, then north on US 83 for 30 miles. The area has one of Texas's smallest active post offices, operating just a few hours weekly.
