Dixon is a tiny Wyoming community of 267 people where Highways 130 and 230 meet in Carbon County. Most visitors pass through on Highway 130 between Laramie (60 miles east) and the Snowy Range, or take Highway 230 from Colorado. The high elevation brings harsh winters and mild summers. Despite its small size, Dixon's post office serves a vast rural area covering hundreds of square miles of ranch country.
