Dimock is a tiny farming town of about 100 people in southeastern South Dakota's farm country. It's on Highway 18, about 60 miles southwest of Sioux Falls via I-90 and 25 miles east of Mitchell. The route from Sioux Falls is the main way visitors arrive, while locals often drive to Mitchell for services. The classic red brick grain elevator dominates the skyline and serves as a landmark across the flat prairie.
