Dighton is a small county seat in western Kansas, accessible via US Highway 83 running north-south through town and US Highway 96 from east and west. Most visitors connect through Dodge City, about 60 miles south near Interstate 40. The 1951 courthouse with its prominent clock tower stands out across the flat prairie for miles.
