Dexter is a farming hub in southeastern Missouri's Bootheel region, positioned along Highway 60 between Sikeston and Poplar Bluff. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 55 via Highway 25, about 25 miles west, or from Cape Girardeau to the northeast.
