Derby Center is a small Vermont town of about 700 people located along Interstate 91 near the Canadian border. It's three hours north of Boston via I-91, with Route 5 and Route 105 providing local connections to Newport and the border crossing at Derby Line. The Northeast Kingdom International Airport is nearby, though it mainly serves private aircraft. The town features one of Vermont's last covered railroad bridges still used by freight trains.
