DeQuincy is a small railroad town in southwest Louisiana, about 30 miles north of Lake Charles via US 171. Interstate 10 runs just south of town, making it a convenient stop between Lake Charles and Lafayette. The junction of US 171 and Highway 12 puts DeQuincy at the crossroads of regional travel routes. The historic Kansas City Southern Railway depot downtown still stands as a testament to the trains that built this community.
