Denton is a tiny farming community of about 100 people in northeast Kansas, sitting along US Highway 36 about 15 miles west of St. Joseph, Missouri. The main route in is US 36, which connects to Kansas City about 60 miles southeast. The town's historic one-room schoolhouse from 1904 still stands as a testament to its prairie heritage.
