Denham is a tiny Pine County community of 33 people in Minnesota's forested east-central region. Take I-35 north from the Twin Cities about 90 miles, then Highway 23 east through Sandstone to reach the area via winding county roads. The Kettle River runs right through town, where you can still see stone foundation ruins from an old sawmill along the riverbank.
