Delta sits where two rivers meet in western Colorado's farm country, making it the hub for the region's famous fruit orchards. Highway 50 runs right through town, connecting to Grand Junction 20 miles away and Montrose to the southeast. Most traffic uses this route for daily commutes or longer cross-state trips toward the mountains. The town calls itself the "City of Murals" with over 20 large paintings decorating downtown buildings.
